Textaway is a lightweight, real‑time messaging app built for fast, private conversations without clutter. It combines instant messaging with a modern interface, powered by Supabase (database + real‑time sync).

Textaway is open source and you can try it right now on any of our live mirrors:
⚡ Quickstart (60 seconds)
- Open any of the links above (e.g. kernel00.netlify.app/app).
- Create an account – email + password.
- Start a chat: click “New Chat” → enter a friend’s username or invite link.
- Send your first message – type and hit Enter.
- Explore: change theme, add reactions, create groups.
💡 Pro tip: You can use the same account across all Textaway mirrors – your data syncs via Supabase.
✨ Features & How‑To
🌓 Dark / Light mode – Click your profile avatar → toggle appearance.
✏️ Edit messages – Hover any sent message → pencil icon → edit text → Enter.
👥 Create a group – Click “+” next to Groups → name it → add users by email.
😀 Reactions – Hover any message → click smiley emoji → pick reaction.
🎮 Ecomney (Discord Quest style) – Ecomney is a limited in-app activity! Complete small quests like “send 3 messages in a row” or “react to 5 different chats” to earn profile badges. Find it inside the Quests tab (rocket icon). It’s purely for fun, no bandwidth changes.
📦 Export your data – To request a copy of your messages and account data, send an email to textaway2@outlook.com with the subject “Data export request” and include your registered email. We’ll reply within 72h with a secure JSON export.
🛠️ Troubleshooting
| Problem | Likely fix |
|---|---|
| Messages don’t send | Check internet connection. Sign out & back in. |
| Blank screen after login | Clear browser cache (Ctrl+Shift+Del) or try a private window. |
| “Supabase URL missing” error | That’s a config issue on a self‑hosted version. Use our official mirrors above. |
| Real‑time updates lagging | Try a different mirror (e.g. switch from Cloudflare to Render). |
| Can’t delete account | Go to Settings → Delete Account. If you own a group, transfer ownership first. |
